I like this song for the same reason I like Murnau's Nosferatu. The poor quality of frames make this vampire movie even more scary. Here, the lyrics, the performance, the recording quality, the arwork quality, all these things together make a good scary song

@DimmuBurger101 Fair enough, this is the only track I've heard. You have to admit the similarity is uncanny.

@PunchMcFacestation Completely out of context...

This is literally Wolf Mangler.

@DimmuBurger101 are you an idiot?

Such bad quality...why...?

@UnholyWarcry Just saw this UW - your point about covers is a very good one - I thought it was going to be metal acid-folk but that the original songs would be at least recognisable. If I had no preconceptions , I'd like the album better.

It's almost like this song was waiting for the DRC treatment. The words are already so creepy and melancholic.

@mickigoe I think going in expecting actual "covers" is the wrong approach to this album. I think Dead Raven Choir are pretty cool but I'm just taking it at face value rather than having any preconceptions about what it might sound like. But yeah it's definitely a love it or hate it thing.
This is unadulterated torture. Anybody who likes this has no musical taste whatsoever.

@mickigoe Those are my exact sentiments about anyone who enjoys things like The Beatles or The White Stripes.

@rozennightshade I understand your point and I hate to knock original / experimental music. I never liked the Beatles much. The White Stripes are excellent.
I love Metallica and I suppose DRC is some form of metal. I love English folk and this track is a "cover" of one of my favourite ballads. But this is just discord. Are you sure that the band is authentic - that you're not the victim of a rip-off. Maybe I'll try a bit harder - I bought the album and I'd love to like it.

@mickigoe Discord is a common part of this style of music. It's obviously not for everyone and is a bit of an acquired taste.
