A mash up is say: A house beat with kylie vocals. like that mylo tune that came out dr pressure. a mash up is not trance or funk the gether or whatever. Mate it looks like your commenting on folks stuff without having a clue

A mix is blending songs seamlessly together to keep the flow of musical energy.
A mash-up is a combination of two or more different tracks to create a completely new one. Usually introducing the tracks together near the beginning, otherwise it would be more of a blend.
