Crete Iraklion Ancient Knossos & Museum

The Last leg of my journey on my first trip to Greece - 2 and a half days was not enough time to see but a spec of Crete - But a Beautiful Drive through the Lasithi Plateu (a Must) heading to Iraklion -rich in history - The Iraklion Museum has the findings of the Treasures of Ancient Knossos. Visiting Knossos -One has to use great imagination to 'place' the objects viewed in the museum as otherwise Knossos is very bare but Definitely worth visiting - Special Note -Visit the Museum First - then the site of Knossos. Iraklion has a special war museum as well as a Great art museum and Many monuments -the Best seafood and despite being a busy city is very much a nice city to stop at - Too cold during my visit -I was glad as I had run out of time to get to the beaches rated some of the Best in the World!
