Hi Enigma. I really appreciate these tests. I just started shooting a new web series I plan to distribute on sites like YouTube. It's a big concern to me because I'm shooting high-def and don't want all that lost in the mystery encoder. Would you say this is the best test you've done so far? I usually take .divx files and rename them .avi to upload on youtube.

can you PLEASE tell us the settings?!
-
I really want to know how you did this... this looks amazing.

I'm not sure if I've missed something obvious but it would be nice to see some settings used. otherwise what's the point

4000kbps is way to fast in my understanding for internet streaming vids.
-
Thank you for doing this.
What I did:
Shot with a 3ccd m-dv, edited in FCP. I exported a 320x240 Quicktime movie using DV/DVCPRO codec in progressive mode.
I put it in DIVX converter at the same size and a bitrate of 4000kbps, Progressive Source, 4:3Nonanamorphic, Psycovisual Elements to Fast, H.263 not optimized. modulation set to -.25 and light source preprocessing
the divx is great in the divx player
Uploaded to « you tube » it's VERY BAD...
Thanks, If you can help me...
