Guernsey Has The Most Snow For Many Years

This was Guernsey in the Channel Islands on the 2nd February 2009 when 8 inches of snow fell overnight. This was the most snow we had had for 20 years. I did not get to film this till 11am - 1pm and by 12 noon it had started to melt, but by 4pm it started freezing again. We do not normally get snow here in the winter, only wind and rain and the odd sunny day. Nor do we get much temperatures below 5 centigrade, which we have had plenty days like that this winter. This winter seems to have been a lot colder then normal here. Global warming is a con boys and girls.

i live in Guernsey, tht day was awsome!! =) i love it in Guernsey, but weve had some snow for the past 4 days =) and i got 2 days off school, so tht was gd, tbh, its snowing right now, lolz =) its rly cold now =( nvm, lolz

Unfortunately I did not get to film the snow and icy roads this time. Hopefully we will have a lot more to come yet, LOL.

The first half of winter here in New England was colder than usual, but now this half is warmer than usual! There were some days when it was -20 degrees Celcius which is pretty cold for up here. We got about 70 inches of snow so far which is fairly normal. My relatives on New Years Eve were outside when it was -52 degrees Celcius! They live in Fairbanks, Alaska though.

I can withstand quite a bit of cold being an outdoor worker but that would be bloody extreemely freezing to me. I had to work outside in -7 centigrade once and that was really very cold, LOL.

Oh my goodness i've just read my comment that you replied to quite a while ago, I cant believe I used to speak like that 2 years ago :') Well, unfortunatly I dont think we'll be having any snow any time soon, the weathers too mild and we've had so much wind and rain lately, still, fingers crossed! Hopefully we'll get some this month, even if its not much! :')
