  • It sounds like Mary and Cindy on background to me. Not Flo; not Andantes. I could be wrong but that's how it sounds to me.

  • at 1:15, whose boobs did Ms. Ross borrow for that shot??

  • Who cares who was singing background! You really only listen to the lyrics that The Lead is singing anyway!

  • @hobox2012 still not true, Cindy and Mary are on all the songs the Supremes did with The Temptations, Mary and Cindy are on He's My Sunny Boy, and others, the Andantes are probly on 40% of The Supremes recordings from late 67 to 69

  • @MotownMaster you are correct. I mispoke. mary and cindy did not make a motown recorging with Diane Ross. They only performed live with Diana. Recorded background was indeed The Adantes.

  • @hobox2012 not true either, Mary and Cindy are on the singles done with the Temptations, there on LP tracks and a few b-sides

  • @JohnXHoward its Mary and Florence, this was recorded in 1966 and held over

  • @hobox2012 yes she did.

  • @JohnXHoward cindy never sang on a motown record. she was under contract with patti labelle. she only did live shows with diane and mary. mary did not record with motown after flo was replaced. backgrounds were indeed done by the adantes.

  • if this is a motown recording it is not cindy and mary you are hearing. it is likely the adantes backing diane. cindy never sang on a motown record.

  • @MotownConnoisseur30 This is Diane's 1969 voice, not the one used in the original lineup of the legendary Supremes which we would have heard in 1966. It is Mary and Cindy holding Diane up in the background, not Flo.

  • I LOVE THE BACK GROUND VOCALS!

mary and flo (yes flo this was recorded 66)

can go so low and then so high! love it!!!!!!
