Freddie Aguilar Austin , TX - Sa Kabukiran

Freddie Aguilar, a really good singer-songwriter from the Philippines was in Austin for a performance. He stopped by my house for dinner and to meet with some of the local Pinoys. We were very happy when he agreed to sing a song of his for us. I believe the song is " Sa Kabukiram" I have no idea of the lyrics, what thye mean but it sounded good to me.

I keep playing this video, this remind me with my dad, he passed away since 07/27/2009. My dad and I was sleeping in our kubo, in Manggahan Pasig City. I will never forget those moment that we hangout almost everyday. Ka Freddie your song Sa kabukiran touch my life. Thank you. I hope I could go back to Philippines and watch you perform live....

@amboy411 I am glad you like this video. It was really cool to have Freddie at my home and even cooler that he agreed to play a song for us. There's some noisy people in the background but anytime you get Filipinos together there will be some getting into and appreciating the music and others that have no clue. I think that happens everywhere. The main thing is that the video captured the moment and created a memory. A fine memory and song.

Hi, Freddie was here for a concert. It was a really good show although I don't speak tagalog. I don't know what he was saying in his songs but you could tell it was "real". Not like 99% of terrible pop songs out there. Dinner for Filipinos, to me, is cook evrything that is available and it lasts the whole evening, people come and go and usually eat at least twice. I am sure there was chicken adobo, pancit canton and probably sinigang (my favorite) :-)
