Aaron Dixon once marched with Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., and was captain of the Seattle chapter of the Black Panther Party for its first four years. Since 1977, he has worked in a number of nonprofit organizations focused on drug and gang violence and working with homeless youth. In 2006, he ran for the United States Senate on the Green Party ticket. Mr. Dixon is the founder and executive director of Central House, which provides transitional housing for homeless young adults and operate a Youth Leadership Program at four public Seattle high schools.
