  • The Problem (for me at least) is that it is so easy to enroll a PADI or CMAS course and so difficult to get to some GUE training. I'd love to do a lot of GUE training. But i can't find any opportunities in my area/country. I was searching for a couple of weeks now. I can understand most people just do the padi thing for the simple fact that it is easily available.

Or maybe i didn't grasp how GUE courses are organized yet and it will be easy once you know how to get the needed information?

  • Samurailord: That's not a big problem if you go to their website, find an instructor who lives close to your area and contact him directly (you can find his email and phone number there)

  • Does the instructor speak Russian. Or did he have to do the entire course through an interpreter?

Of course, underwater, the language is universal :)

  • haloclyne: Which Instructor do you mean? The course in the film was held by Kirill Egorov who speaks Russiand and English

  • haloclyne: There were 2 Instructors, Russian and American , which one do you mean?

  • haloclyne: Oh, yes, if you mean Kirill Egorov, the Russian instructor, of course he speaks Russian.

  • I was trained to have 3 lights and if even one goes out you call the dive. The reasoning is that if you lose your lights you lose your life. Since there is NO natural light on a cave dive. You also need a dry suit on deep penetration cave dives because even in warm water your body can't maintain it's core temperature on long dives and you end up with hypothermia. It's expensive to be a cave diver. It helps that I live in Florida and don't have to travel very far for a cave dive.

  • OK, I watched the video again and saw a guy with "GUE Instructor" written on screen and who had to be translated, so I assume he speaks Russian.

  • My dearest Elena, see you very soon. We are looking forward to your party, in NY !!!!!(Hudson River ?). Nuno XOXO

PS "World Record Dive" has over 0.5 million hits, congratulations :))))

  • Hello my dearest Friend, I miss you and Shareen a lot, can't wait until I see you in Greenwich in August for my party!!!!!!XOXO
