Brian re your carp cakes. Do you ice them and add candles cos my fish will be four years old next week and he would so love a birthday cake

@fisherman123454321 Basially like a groundbait...

Instead of use alu-foil and oil, it's better to use baking paper (non-stick guarantee!!!)
-
I'm gonna try this here with bread mix, cause We don't have mix for carps in Brasil.
-
lol id just cooked some and my dad ate it

oh yeah and you need 4 eggs, easy stuff, 4oz of mix to 4 eggs or however many you want to do, even a little 2 oz to 2 egg mix is good for testing flavours.
i would also beat air into the eggs, it adds buoyancy and does no harm to the cake.

Here's a good base mixes/recipe if you dont want to buy an expensive base mix-
1oz soya flour (ebay or holosfoods)
1oz semolina (tesco etc)
1oz krill meal (ebay) adds buoyancy and is fishy
1oz nestle milk powder (tesco)
mix together in inflated freezer bag
10ml hutchinson megaspice + 5ml nash strawberry
1/3 teaspoon of dye - into the egg. use white if your carp like bread, devastating results!
beat air into it and use a 12inch tray, so your mix doesnt fill for good crusty corners

cheers mate

You can make as much as you want and you can frezze it.
When i go floater fishing i use a whole loaf or two.

You need to add some calciulm casinate and whey to a basic boilie recipe to get a really tough floater cake
