"Mad max meets the china syndrome". Nicely put! I really enjoyed this at the movies as a kid when it first came out, and even now there's nothing like watching real cars beat the living hell out of each other- amazing stunts at 3:42 and 4:18. I hear they pulled George Miller in to help with the shooting of these chases- must confirm that with the director one of these days- I know his daughter!

That LTD is a tough car- nothing like a bit of Ford versus Holden in the movies!
Both great cars- far more interesting than todays offerings
