Working through Grief - Losing a Parent

After my father's passing this week, I decided that I wanted to talk about what I was feeling to help go through this process and also to help anyone else who may be going through it too. Your comments and experiences are so very welcomed.

I am so sorry for your loss.

I came across your video tonight and it really helped me.

I have been caring for my sick grandmother and she pasted away last night while we were watching tv together. I am a mess right now but your words have helped.

You are a beautiful woman to share your sadness. I wish you and your family health and healing.

@MsMichele75 Thank you so very much. May I please tell you how sorry I am to hear of your grandmother's passing. No matter what age they are and no matter how sick they may be, even a passing of relief is still very painful. I still miss my father so very much. Your grandmother will stay near you...that I know for sure. Something about roses just came into my mind when I typed that. Don't know if that means anything. Be good to yourself during your grief.

I am so sorry for your loss.. I lost my dad on December 7th 7 years ago to cancer, my grandmother died 3 hrs later... He died 2 days before his 47th birthday.

@PaintedRavensong roses...well my grandmother was a very outdoorsy person..always planting something whether it be flowers or herbs. I finally got a few hours of sleep last night so i feel a little more clear headed. Thank you for you kind words.
