This is a 5 part series that explains some very big changes that I am choosing to make in my life. After becoming a raw foodist over 3.5yrs ago, I started a business preparing raw food for others. Last year I even opened a raw food cafe in New Jersey called the Rainbow Garden. As my own personal beliefs and understandings evolved I have been forced to re-evaluate my business practices and how they relate to my morals and intentions.
As I now see the dangers in broadly promoting a transitional "raw food" diet, I must face my seemingly contradictory practices and find a new way to move forward promoting the creation of true health, Most recently I have decided to sell my food preparation business and go to school to become a Naturopathic Doctor. In this way I believe that I will be able to provide a much more effective and efficient service to others and a more satisfying and morally congruent occupation to myself.

This is true for me.
I transitioned from these "raw food products" to exclusively fruits, veg, homemade greendrinks, nuts and seeds only.
I dont know what we are looking for. Nature has packaged everything perfectly. There is, like you say too much hype and bogus science to get you to buy something that has no relevance to health.
"superfood" to me now means: Homegrown and picked fresh. I "supplement" with homegrown food and not store bought supplements.
