Who rules Sark? Barclay brothers' power grab exposed.
Martin Summers & Tony Ventris (Sept 2009)

The small Channel Island of Sark was the last feudal state in Europe until an election was called in December 2008. But many local people feel that their fledgeling democracy is already being subverted. Locals believe that since wealthy tax exiles the Barclay twins bought the adjacent island of Brechou in 1993 they have been attempting to set themselves up as Sark's new feudal rulers. The Barclay brothers portfolio includes the Daily Telegraph and the Ritz Hotel. Martin Summers and elected local councillor Tony Ventris look into the story.
I hope the Barclay brothers are proud of themselves. One wonders why, if they have issues with the governance of Sark, they wouldn't avail themselves in meeting with the local populace. They're described as reclusive, maybe that's code for something to hide.

For all the crimes that the Barclays have committed against Sark and it's people, wouldn't it be best if the Sark government had a policeman sail over to Breqou and them arrested for breaking Sark law?
