  • damn that tone is nice

  • Difficulty: Asian

  • sounds like marty friedman's arpeggio !!!,great job dude !!!

  • @HarpoSpoke Hence back to my original first comment posted.

  • @pootrap It's true that is the general consensus. But we don't judge art by consensus....we go entirely by our personal reaction to it.

  • @HarpoSpoke I'm merely reinterating the general consensus in this forum and that this video is supposed to be a "sad melody". It is not just "my personal opinion" though I will agree that this is his interpretation to that piece of music.

Though almost every comment stated his technique is great and I also agree, in turn you could say the same about those who commented on the fact he needs to play with more control and emotion, and less technique.

Tho your comments are duly noted

  • @pootrap We also commonly make the mistake of thinking our opinion on art is law and everyone else should share it.

In fact art cannot be measured or ranked. Art effects each individual in a different way. No two people will share the same musical taste. The guitarist in this video certainly played what he felt the track needed. I think it's safe to say 100 guitarists would play 100 different solos here. Which one would be "right"?

  • @HarpoSpoke No dude, you assume that less is ALWAYS more. I'm mearly stating the fact that he has titled this video "sad melody" only the backing track has any kind of emotion content, his technique is great however he hasn't quite executed his phrasing to complement the emotional feel of the track. Drenched in emotion? maybe to you it was, though I'm a big Gary Moore fan so maybe my expectations were a little high.
