Written back in the late 90's this track has always evoked images of that day back in 2001. I remember getting home from a quick trek to the post office; and Scott breaking the news to me.
*LET ALL THE CLOCKS STOP
A cold wind through the heart
that's how it will always start
just one tear in an endless sea
and those things that can never be
You see me lost along the way
but you don't remember your delay
if all the sinners turned to salt
who would answer to the fault?
Let all the clocks stop and time stand still
Bury the daylight i've had my fill
Watch it spin around
and weave a rope that will surround
the angels and the lost
to reduce us at whatever cost
Let all the clocks stop and freeze the day
Bury the daylight and walk away
Reach up to the sky
though i'll always wonder why
there is nothing that remains
to deliver us from the pain
Let all the clocks stop and seize the day
Bury the daylight and walk away
@lethe51 This was written in the 90's; but the lyrics seem to (me) be speaking specifically of that awful day. Scotts brother Chris, my daughter Angela and I were there at the WTC just seven months before 9/11. Although Chris lived in Northern N.J./knew the New York area, that was the first time he ever visited the WTC. This song /Those days are symbolic to Us/Me. This is a Scott Appel Original; Many Thanks for your comment.
