Those were a great series of interviews. I think he was on three or four times and I remember them vividly also. It was like watching a train wreck. Turned out to be a bit of a prelude in terms of what was to come in Blake's life. Miss Tom Snyder. Nobody like him today.

Hey, I actually saw that show and I NEVER FORGOT IT. Before I watched this I could have still told you exactly what blake said: "I should have bit a hole in his throat and sucked his heart out through it." to which snyder replied: "now you're beginning to frighten me." my only comment is, all psychiatrists should have that done to them. Only they probably don't have a heart or like the grinch, it's "two sizes too small." ha! I miss both blake and snyder.

Blake's eyes spell WEIRD. Those eyes come at you like a handful of darts.
Btw, Tom Snyder was the best interviewer of all time, of course, my opinion. He is sadly missed.

Maybe it's because Snyder interviewed Manson as well, but I'm sorry to say this: Blake's eyes remind me of Mansons, and not just during the Snyder interview either. His eyes are forceful, manipulative and predatory. I've met predatory and forceful people in my life, but never with just their eyes, like Manson, Bundy, or Blake :S

Robert Blake has always had a temper. I guess it's an Italian thing.

@TheHoliday555 The best reality show ever!

@Gloriapower Yep!!
Absolutely! I miss his presence on television terribly. As a perpetual night owl, I still find myself occasionally looking for Tom late nights and in the early morning hours.
Snyder and Dick Cavett brought intelligence and wit to TV talk shows, something not seen, before them, since the days of Steve Allen and Jack Paar (and never in such large doses), and not likely to be seen again.
