  • "The Prisoner has influenced a whole genre of risk taking surreal programming. For example, Twin Peaks, the X Files, and the Outer Limits."

Uh...... I adore The Prisoner, but The Outer Limits aired in 1963 to 1965. Way before the Prisoner.

Also, "...the enigmatic Number 1 never appears in the program..."

Uh, did the host of this special even watch the last episode???

  • Warning, there are SPOILERS in this vid.

  • Nawwww. Wish i could watch the prisoner now :( haha.

thanks for posting this, was most interesting :D

  • Great neo-prisoner theme music at the end!

  • Alexis Kanner looked great, especially considering he died not long after this was made.

  • Nicely done! I'm sorry I didn't subscribe to SciFi at the time this special was on the air. I would have recorded it myself! Particularly liked the Stephen Fry interview! Playing Number 2 must have been a childhood dream of his for years! If so, I'm glad he was able to live it albeit on a comedy special that probably wasn't aired in the States. Maybe there's a DVD somewhere...?

    Thanks for posting this!
