Teddy meets Pony Clubbers--Part Two.

I just want to mention as you watch this video to take a look at the size of the kids standing next to Ted. Some folks are skeptical about Teddy's super-small size, but this gives you a good perspective. In fact, I like to tell the story of his Dad, who was first introduced to me as being 17 hands tall! He wasn't (he was right around 16.2 -- and he shrunk as he aged, too), but Teddy Sr. had such a way of carrying himself--head high, neck stretched, looking over your head at things only he could see--that he looked like a much larger horse. Son Teddy (and several of his full siblings) are very similar. However, you'd never mistake their Mom, Melody, for anything but the 13.0 hands she is--even though she, too, is a tiger (one mean-assed tiger, in fact) in a tiny package.

This video almost made me cry. I think I sat next to you at 1 of the FHP events. My friend and I were jump judges. I miss teddy soooo much. I cried for 3 hours straight after i found out about him. Rest In peace buddy. You were amazing

karen o'connor gave a clinic at my barn a couple times. she was so great with horses and such a kind person, if Teddys life had to be so short, I don't think there was a better person for him to be with for it.
