What was life really like in Saddam's Iraq? This week's offering is the definitive documentary on the cult of Saddam Hussein. Filmed just before the first Gulf war, it depicts a prosperous and sophisticated society in which every aspect of life is coloured by 'love' for the 'Great Leader'. Darkly ironic, this film captures the surreal and Orwellian nature of life under Saddam Hussein. In a country which today has lost even its most basic services, the testimony of this vanquished middle-class and the prosperity of their society resonates on many levels.

  • Saddam was better than the puppet assholes installed by the US.

  • @TuRkmEnOkaN CNN? told the world?

Read the UN Securty Resolution concernig Iraq in the 1990s you cunt.

  • @Hperman09

your telling us what a little slut on cnn told the world in 2003.

please bitch, go play call of duty and dont speak unless you investigated it yourself.

  • @Anage898 Iraq invaded, occupied, and annexed Kuwait in August of 1990. Saudi Arabia and Kuwaiti authorities asked the U.S. for help. Then the UNSC got involved and authorized a UN-led coalition of 34 nations led by the U.S. to push the Iraqi Army out of Kuwait. It did succesfully and the war ended only with a ceasefirein March 1991, NOT A PEACE TREATY.

Saddam had to follow the requirements laid out by the UN or face conitual action. He didn't. That's why hostilites restarted in 2003.

  • @unelmitchell Truth is, once you let a dictator take hold - it sets in motion a chain of events that leads almost exclusively to inner conflict and war. It was true about alot of revolutions. It's a horrible thing. Hopefully one day we will stop letting our brothers and sisters die under the hands of evil totalitarian fascists. It is a crime. This is the only life we have, to see it wasted and cast aside by others should be INTOLERABLE for any moral person.

  • @ayadtuma1 Most of these people HAVE to. I mean Saddam used to charge families for the bullets he used to execute their family members. There was no way to protest.

  • he never killed more fucking people then america seo fuck off

  • This was filmed in Iraq around '90.

The only way you could speak of Saddam in Iraq was praise.

  • does anyone know where to watch the full one without having to use my credit card?
