    Can you provide more details on the hardware test setup? And specifically what class of graphics cards are required to take advantage of this hardware acceleration in Windows 8.

    wow, lets see: windows 7 2d:: 5 times slower than windows xp, now windows 8 twice as fast as windows 7, do the math!

    Actually this is useful, on Windows 7 I was always sat twiddling my thumbs thinking, 'if only this .jpg image would decode a few milliseconds faster'.
