Micro USB is the new standard connector for mobile phones, so the Extreme having a micro USB connector is actually a +, not a -.
"On February 17, 2009, the GSM Association announced[47] that they had agreed on a standard charger for mobile phones. The standard connector to be adopted by 17 manufacturers including Nokia, Motorola and Samsung is to be the micro-USB connector (several media reports erroneously reported this as the mini-USB)"

However, we cannot hear how your voice sounds on the other end to the accompaniment of that wonderful fan! :-) Someone, please do a real audio test for Jabra Extreme under harsh conditions, something like that for a new Motorola Endeavor HX1 youtube. com/watch?v=rrFKuw1sdqg That would be great!
