Same-sex marriage (also called gay marriage) is legally and/or socially recognized marriage between two persons of the same biological sex or social gender. The term marriage equality is used especially by supporters of legal recognition of same-sex marriage. Many people have not been able to attend gay weddings, because as of July 12, 2010 only ten states recognize same sex unions as MARRIAGES. However, there are a few more states who allow civil unions.
Here, we celebrate the love shared between a same gender couple in Washington, DC who has made a fine example out of what it means to share love. Let this be an example of the fact that LOVE does exist among all people.
