  • why the hell are goona change the ka to electric? most people put sr20 or tjz? waist of money

  • I wouldn't say it's a "waist" of money. =)

Gerry had already gone the engine swap route. He yanked out the swapped engine for the electrics. There can be huge torque in an electric motor and huge potential for electric drift cars.

  • thats Is cool im puttin a rb26dett in mine

  • Are the hydrogen levels dangerous when you are charging it up at 110v?

or do you just open the windows and doors? haha!

  • dude you inspires me. i love ev and i love 240. why not have them both right?

  • You know whats so cool about electric motors? They get 100% torque at 0 rpm which is insane!!!

  • @nightsauce ever see an electric car do a drag race?? 9/10 are 9 sec cars.

  • stupid idea, only way I would go electric is if I absolutely had to.

  • I wanna see that thing sideways.

  • @mpgomatic and dont forget it makes your car more "environment friendly" lol but thats right i heard an electric motor is more powerful than the original and is there a such thing as an electric SR20?

  • @zepyoor1234 yup its true what @mpgomatic said, think of it as having two huge impact wrenches on your rear wheels!

  • @nightsauce That is the continuous output rating for the motor. As he said it was capable of 1000 amps for 10 seconds(which would be peak power) and the voltage is 144 volts(12 -12volt batteries.) That is about 193 Peak HP. After losses it's probably closer to 140-150WHP. Considering it was a budget build that's not too bad. It's not a big power beast, and likely more expensive than just building a SR20DET but it's 3x as efficient, very quiet, and low maintenance. YMMV
