  • Beeindruckend wie immer.

    Von einer Entwicklung des Kontrabasspiels

    ist nicht mehr zu sprechen.

    Einfach ausgereift!

    Ich lese hier "vibrato too fast" ;

  • You guys are idiots, it's in the style of jewish music to use a very fast and mournful vibrato. Which Mr. Furtok does brilliantly, in fact this sounds better than a cello. The bass register is really mournful and depicts the music perfectly. Do you guys even know what this is about??? You're supposed to be pleading god for forgiveness, this is NOT "pleasant" music.

  • Listen to the noob audience member clap at 2:30.

  • well you know what happened, right? Bruch wrote the piece for double bass, and sent it to the publisher. The publisher said, "Double Bass Solo? what???" and instead published the work for cello. But it was originally written for bass!

  • Das ist richtig genial. !!! Wzroszajace, very touching.

  • Very touching !

Actually the closest in atmosphere to the original prayer ,that i have heard so far.

There seems to be a great tradition of double-bass playing in Poland.

  • Just to clarify: I know this is a bass, I was agreeing with someone complimenting this video, I was stating how this sounds better than cello versions.

  • Agreed, this sounds much better on bass, most cello recordings I have heard are way to bright.

  • Furtok Forever!!!!

  • Just beautiful. I love your tone, especially the lower range.
