Sadly, less than two years after this video was recorded, the only remaining member of this group is Danny Riley, the group manager and son of the group owner..... All the rest are gone.

Muito bom igual ao the king herald´s...

love gold city. i went to see them recently.
-
a footnote here, aaron mccune was and is the perfect replacement for tim riley.their singing is almost identical, perhaps aaron is a bit lower than tim.
-
i just saw them in sanford, florida may 17th,they rocked the building and i kid you not, when aaron was singing his voice reverberated throughout the building and rattled the seats we were sitting on.i believe he is the best bass singer to come along in years, and gospel music history will record him as one of the best bass singers in gospel music history, other than j.d. sumner of course.

Nobody is better than Younce and Riley, I just meant that Jeff Chapman is the best out there today !
God Bless

Just a note, when comparing, and theres nothing wrong in comparing talent for the thruth of the matter is that some have a more generous natural talent than others, it will be good to remember the age, and time. I would compare this young bass singer to the time that tim riley began. pound for pound. When this young man becomes tim's age, then we would go back and compare pound for pound. When I heard George Younce at age 17, the man had a voice, deapth aswell as range!.

I like Tim Riley, myself

So was i...it was an awsome time!!!!
I think Aaron is the best young bass out there. He is not to the level of George Younce, Tim Riley or Richard Sterban yet, but neither were any of them at his age. He is already making basses work hard, and he is still young. I look for greater things for him in the future.
The whole group is great. I loved the Brian, Ivan, Mike (or Steve) and Tim version, but these guys are great in their own way. Some of the guys are as good or better as the version I mentioned above.

Great. Steve's sound is reminiscent of Brian Free on the original studio version. (I never heard Brian sound like that again.) Steve has come a long, long way since he started and is one of the best SG tenors out there now.
