Help Spread the Word!

Dear Seiuli Dwayne Johnson "The Rock",

My name is Corina Chang, and I am a Peace Corps Volunteer serving in Samoa. I have been teaching English in a primary school for the
past 21 months, and as my service will be ending this December, I would like to offer the students at my school a final gift of hope and inspiration: a speaking engagement by you.

With only limited exposure to the outside world, our students need role models that can illustrate a life of real successful experiences. More
importantly, in order to be successful they must work hard. For the primary school students in my village , this means putting learning first.

Success is not only present in school. For a country that is made popular by its athletic talent, sports are also a real and viable opportunity for Samoans. You are paradigm for this with your successes as a football player and a renowned wrestler. Moreover, you have been able extend yourself into different enterprises such as the entertainment business and rise to celebrity status.

However, most impressive of your life is not your hard-earned celebrity larger-
than-life status, it is the philanthropic works through The Dwayne Johnson Rock Foundation and donations to the University of Miami that color and shape your life's successes and give it meaning. Giving back to those who need it most is something that occurs far less frequently than what is needed. Seiuli Dwayne Johnson, give a chance to the students of Samoa and give back - share your stories.

A personal narration of your life's successes will offer not only counsel, but also hope and aspiration that are not commonly found here. The students in my village are wholehearted fans, and a visit from you would be an unprecedented event. I would like to personally offer an invitation to speak at our school before the end of this year.

Sincerely,
Corina Chang, PCV
