http://daddyteller.com Storytelling with children creates long-term values and protection. If you run out of gas in your car, you can simply refill. If you run out of oil in your car, you have a catastrophe. So it is with storytelling. Learn how to tell a story (or many!) to your child and it's like putting oil in your engine. Storytelling creates long-term benefits for your children that may not always be immediately apparent. But, miss these chances to build up your child and you'll pay for it down the road. Fathering is a joy, a challenge and responsibility. Invest the time you need into your parenting with the skills and talents of storytelling. To learn more, visit Sean's site at www.daddyteller.com

  • Its great to know that we can have simple tools to help our children. thanks for posting more videos like this. oil vs gas- great idea

  • "Fathering is a joy, a challenge and responsibility."

That is the most beautiful statement I have heard by far, and is very true as well. The moment I laid my eyes into my baby girls pretty eyes that is what I felt. Thank you Sean for teaching us how to be the best fathers we can become.

  • Great work Sean, I like how you were able to clearly explain the topic at hand. My dad has the same philosophy, he used to tell us stories about when he was young to teach us good lessons and what not. I try to emulate him now with my kids.

  • the amazing thing about this video is that it clearly distinguishes the difference between the effects of some "silly mistakes" we, as fathers sometimes commit. That they are easily "fixed". But with neglecting to pay attention and tell them stories while they are growing up is very vital. And if we missed that small window of opportunity we can never go back to that time.

  • Great video Sean, as always. I just love how you were able to use the oil and gas analogy to this. Very clever and it easily put your point across, specially most of your audience are clumsy dads like myself. Haha. Kidding aside, thanks for the uploading.

  • This had been a very fruitful 3 minutes! Thank you so much for sharing your brilliant tips. You are correct! Like putting oil in a car, story telling is very important to childrens' growth and development. Brilliant! Thank you so so much!

  • I absolutely agree with you Sean. I make sure that I get to spend some quality bonding time with my daughters as much as I can. I have 3 pretty little angels and they love to listen to my stories. I usually tell them inspiring stories of our family and people I know. I hope to see the, fulfill their fullest potential and grow up as smart, beautiful and educated women someday. Thanks for the clip, Sean!

  • Hello Sean, thank you for uploading yet another great video. I have read your book and have seen some of the videos you made. They are very informative and I get a lot of helpful hints and tips on how to properly take care of my son. I wish that you can reach more and more fathers and mothers.

  • It is our responsibility to our children as fathers, not only to provide food and shelter but to also make sure that they grow up as decent and intelligent adults someday. And spending quality time talking to them during their childhood is indeed very important. Thank you for all your input, I love all of your videos too.

  • Awesome video series, I just finished backtracking all the previous videos you made. I just to after I saw this one. I just went back to thank you for teaching us the value of telling a simple to our kids. I surely hope that you make more of these videos.
