FIS 2010 : Project Free Bird

Once the user has spent some time 'free writing' in this tranquill enviornment, depending on their perception whether their information is 'positive or negative' they will have the opportunity to be involved in a cathartic cleansing process. This process involves an art piece designed to imitate an artifical tree. This tree would be a symbol of everyones collaberation to one final goal. Positive ideas from the user would populate the top, imating the foliage. A symbol of hope for the future, a shining light. As for the 'negative', the user would have the pleasure and symbolic process of destroying the information. This is achieved by placing the information through a shredder, the process will be recorded. The remains of the information will be passed through a tube and returned to the trunk of the tree. Also a symbol of that even 'negative ideas' are still essential to growth.
The whole experiance leaves the user with a feeling of gratification, relief and also the feeling of not being the only person in the world with a problem.
