A video about how tracks can be mastered in FL Studio using the Multiband Compressor.

This method is just one possible way of enhancing the volume of your tracks to a certain level.
There is no right or wrong way of mastering a song.
But if you use this technique in FL Studio, you can ensure that the tracks you export with these settings are nearly at the same volume level, which would be good for creating an album for instance.

If you intend to have your music be mastered by a sound engineer later on, you should rather not be using compressors and/or EQ's on your sounds to leave more room for the engineer to work with your (untouched) material.

  • nice tutorial. question: on the step sequencer thing, were all the instruments turned up to max volume?

  • @NathanSynth Yes, indeed. For the purposes of this video, I had chosen to regulate the volume in the mixer only. So, in the step sequencer, all the volume knobs are turned to 100%.

  • Cool tutorial. This made me subscribe. Thanks man.

  • @SonnyG92 Thanks for your support !!

  • THANK YOU SO MUCH! I was completely lost in a horrible land of muddy sound. I practically cried when I heard how crisp the sound of this new, mastered, MP3 was.

    Regards, MagnetiX

  • @MagnetiXofficial I'm glad you like it ;-)
