Mussorgsky: Pictures at an Exhibition Baba Yaga
This is a rare fan made video from my recital "I'll tell you a secret" in November 2010. Mussorgsky: Baba Yaga from "Pictures at an Exhibition".
Baba-Yaga is a witch-like character in Slavic folklore. She flies around on a giant pestle or broomstick, kidnaps (and presumably eats) (0_0) small children, and lives in a hut that stands on chicken legs.

  • Thank you...always wonderful piano playing...here...!!!! Congratulations!!!

  • very good!

  • The passage from about 1:30 - 2:30 reminds me so much of Debussy. Mussorgsky was a huge influence on him. I'd image it takes a lot of guts to play this; many pianists say it's writing is awkward. Brilliant performance as usual.
