So I saw this pallet driver on Rte. 8 South and started to video because his truck was so weighed down and he was driving erractically....VERY unsafe...and potentially dangerous...

if you see a vehicle with the sign Ohio Pallet Sales AVOID THEM!!! overloaded truck and they cannot see out any rear view or side mirrors!

  • This is not as dangerous as the Star Boyz doing wheelies and stuff around you on Route 8.

  • true....i haven't been able to get them on video yet...i'll see them and by the time i pull out the camera and turn it on they're miles away....

they're total idiots for doing that on the highways...

  • What about ding dong's that are dumb enough to drive behind an unsafe load at a dangerously close distance? UR lucky the pallets didn't fall on you....

  • i was prepared at any second for those pallets to go flying...i got past them as soon as i could and i had the camera on 'zoom' so i wasn't as close as it appears...

  • What about the people that drive looking through the camera lens, should we not avoid those??

  • well i have a camera that just has a display, not a view finder, but i understand your point totally...

driver and video-ing is unsafe too! guilty as charged! but i could see more of the road than the pallet driver!

  • He may be legally allowed to do this because he isn't violating the statutory length, height, or weight regulations. If he's not exceeding the rated weight of the vehicle and the loads properly secured (do you see it moving? Are the straps taught? Is the working load limit of the straps sufficient for the weight of the load?), then there's nothing to which the DOT can object.

Simply feeling unsafe when ignorant of the criteria used to determine something's safety is a little irrelevant.

  • and seriously you are driving and recording at the same time

    like wtf

  • um wow that is unsafe. but HELLO you are the one video taping while driving...

  • @lisalrocks Uhm, she kinda looks and sounds like she's the one driving, so I'd say its probably a good idea that she look at the road

  • @mistyo1068 Uhm, if she is on the passenger side, why does she need to be looking at the road?

  • good job ohio pallet sales. he's got it stacked right. with that many pallets he's knows what he's doin and that load is goin nowhere.

  • lol u think thats something? u should c how i stack my pick up truck! lol

  • This guy obviously knows what he's doing. The way he dropped the tailgate down and got that 5th stack on there, marvelous. Plus he got a load of euro pallets, which means he was able to stack the pallets inside each other (nested), so there are actually twice as many pallets as you think. I'm jealous and impressed. Now what's not so smart is following someone stacked like that on the highway trying to get their license plate number while making a youtube video.

  • Yep he's got about 2,000lbs on that truck. There's more than 12 high on those pallets. The tailgate has 12 or 13 and the bed is stacked higher. Those aren't regular pallets, either. Those are the big block pallets which weigh more.

Wow. I know those trucks can handle a lot, but never would I attempt to take that many pallets on the expressway.
