Our journey took us along the Appalachian trail to 2 different huts. The huts were unheated bunkhouses and for all practical purposes had no electricity or running hot water. Overnight lows ranged from 17-25 degrees. The wind howled by at 30mph.
There were 11 of us, we all had 25-30 pound packs on and we all survived....and loved every minute.
