It is such a pity that Moisse Tchombe has been turned into a martyr and hero by the West. The true and forgotten hero was Lumumba, a true nationalist and Tchombe's great rival, a man so vilified by the West just because he wasn't afraid to call a spade a spade, and exposed the Belgian colonialists for what they really were, murderous barbarians.

Classic Movie probably one of the best overall casts ever put together. Great song too - Im off to watch the movie again:)
Not a big Richard Burton Fan, but I must agree with you, he was excellant as the colonel in this. One of my top ten best war/ merc movies.
