Hmm, i think the american version of this movie is "THE LAKE HOUSE" starring keanu reeves and sandro bullock, correct me if I'm wrong. I've just noticed the old house in the river and the mail box, its was the same idea used in the american version. The ending there they still end up together, i dunno about the korean version cause i never watched it yet..

Omg I just looked up James Finney's 'The Love Letter', and it IS the same idea (but it was written in 1959)

Since "Il Mare," appeared in 2000 and seems to have been based on Jack Finney's short story, "The Love Letter," published in 1959, how did "americans," copy "the same idea?"
