  • @ExologistTV I would be too, normally. However, if the game is only a 1.5 or 0.5 point difference (which happens often in pro games), a move like that could affect the whole outcome of the game, if you don't take it.

  • lol. self atari. what a costly mistake.

  • I do that sometimes. Not sure why.... like the God of Go eases my mind into thinking playing into atari is safe or something. I always feel so foolish afterwards!

  • This is called an epic fail!! :))

  • He's like, really? Really??? Ok, I can do that. I think I'd be rather ashamed to win a lost game this way.

  • you're tight it's gote, epic fail for me :P but black is losing sente with next move anyways and w has some sente but yeah probably his game is lost. but I don't think b has 84 points, more like 80 so it is still difficult I suppose, at least not shamefully lost as some seemed to imply, I mean you can't just see white's group is dead and conclude w loses of course if he got such loss and didnt resign most likely he got enough compensation. I think even a pro needs to count to tell.

  • @fabyooos whatsthat supposed to mean? XD

  • Man, you guys. White's right side group is dead and Black's upper right corner is dead. Black has sente because without the mistake, 5-12 will be captured in a connect-and-die. I believe Black's best move is on the bottom right, three points gote. Ignoring prisoners, I count B 84, W 76.5, B+7.5. And it seems Black has more prisoners. Close game by our standards, but a huge lead for Black by professional 9-dan standards.

  • @stanko51 did you at least bother to count? if there was that big difference w would have definitely resigned, or at least b wouldnt have been as focused (on other parts of the board) as he was in the game the dead w stones in the left make 38 points (that is, 19 stones) whith the rest it amounts to a bit over eighty, plus 12 captures w has 70 something plus 9 captures plus 6.5 komi PLUS sente you sure can't say he's losing big time. looks often mislead, count before giving the scores...
