Rick learns Hope is away with Thomas, Amber confronts Beverly, and Steffy and Thomas realize they're at the same resort.
On the beach in Cabo San Lucas, Steffy and Liam admire the beauty of the place. Hope is on a balcony behind them at the resort. Thomas calls Hope, and they speak to a representative of the resort, Claudia, about Forrester business. Claudia says she's upgraded them to an oceanfront suite with a king-size bed. Thomas thanks her, but Hope declines and asks for a single room. They talk about what they're going to do. Thomas is up for anything - just being there with her is fun; anything else is a bonus. As they chat, Steffy notices them from a balcony where she is listening to a mariachi band with Liam. Steffy spills her drink on Liam and he goes to the room to change.
Amber puts on lipstick at home, and then calls Forrester Creations pretending to be Hope. She asks for a gate pass for Ambrosia Moore. She thanks Larry the security guy, hangs up, and then flashes back to the old days with Rick.
At Forrester, Madison tells Rick that Hope and Thomas have gone out of town. Rick thanks her and says he wants to be in on the next security meeting. Beverly appears and says she'd like to know who stole the designs as well. Rick makes some calls and finds out Hope is in Cabo San Lucas. He complains to Beverly that Thomas isn't the right guy for his sister, and tells her Liam and Hope's story. They sit together on the sofa and Beverly talks about being in the foster care system. Amber arrives and listens at the door as Rick tells Beverly how remarkable she is. She peeks in as Rick touches her shoulder. Rick steps out and Amber corrals Beverly, telling her they need to get a few things straight. Amber tells her she knows exactly what she's after. She informs Beverly that she's Rick's ex-wife and they're still very close. Beverly notes that he's single, and says she's not afraid of her. Amber tells her to ask around - she will be.
In the room in Cabo San Lucas, Liam tries to ignore work texts, but he opens one with Hope's latest publicity photo.
By the pool, Hope leaves Thomas alone to run up to her room. Steffy appears and asks, "Having a good time, big brother?" Thomas is stunned that they're at the same resort. They bicker over who should leave. Steffy finally tells Thomas to romance Hope and get the job done. Hope, meanwhile, sets up on a lounge chair and has a near-miss with Liam.
