  • Wow amazing that John Barry liked this film, and now i can undertand him better. Yes, this is a great movie that should be on tv more and Gene Kelly undoubtably the greatest MGM dancer and artist, I really live John Barry's music, so many great movie scores too numerous to list, but my favorite is "Somewhere in time."

    Great movies are ageless.

  • John Barry could not been more truthful in his explanation of how this film ranks in muscial film history. The jazz sequence with Gene & Leslie was so romantic; it would not have worked without that jazz solo & etc. The story line was not so innovative but the technique in which the story was relayed in dance was spectacular. Man, add the lighting, costumes & the directing overall...just beautiful. The ending was bittersweet; I just did not want that world to end! Most def, my fav musical!
