@MentalViolenceNYC a typical response from a know nothing minority. Instead of saying "let's video tape the drug dealers and the gang members and give the tapes to the police so they can help our neighborhoods" you say it's a good thing to video the police... typical pathetic attitude that will keep minorities as the permanent underclass forever.

i'm so impressed how "YA DIG" also sounds alot like "YOU DICK" lol i know it's intentianal.

@cholo2les I'm with you on everything you're saying, and I will look up "detain" as it pertains to the law. Maybe I'm using the incorrect word for what they're doing. Some peace officers aren't ethical in their profession. But, for people who are having many run ins with peace officers, maybe those people are doing something wrong.
-
@cholo2les I've been detained by peace officers on a spot check, but was never arrested. A spot check is an example of peace officers detaining a citizen without necessarily making an arrest. I was never read my rights nor was I taken in for processing.
-
@cholo2les I'm going by pretty much out of date concepts, because it used to be that only a sheriff and his deputies could make an arrest and not peace officers
-
@KingCynicalese if you look up detain in black's law dictionary detaining some one is an arrest, whether you have cuff on or not. any time you're detained for no reason but some 1's suspicious is not probable cause. you can sue the city for every stop and frisk that has ever happen to you cause some 1 suspects you may do something criminal. this isn't nazi Germany where you have to present ur papers on demand. I start recording a stop and frisk, all of a sudden cops don't want to be recorded.
-
@cholo2les also, if you've noticed I've used the word detain and not arrest. I don't know if it has changed, but under the Patriot Act, the authorities can detain you for up to 24 hours without making an arrest.
-
@cholo2les Hey bro, hold on I'm with you. They could use the Patriot Act by simply saying that without any I.D. we (police) can detain you for suspicion of being a terrorist. It's kind of similar to the point the officer was making in the video. If you don't have any I.D. and you fit the description of a suspect, they can detain you on that suspicion. I'm with you on no ex post de facto, but people need to realize that they're going to proceed against you even if they're violating your rights
-
@KingCynicalese any ACT/LAW passed that violates any provision of the Constitution is null and void on its face, if you're such an expert, please tell me exactly where in the patriot act it say I have o carry identification, so I can look it up. no probable cause, I don't have to give a pig ID. I just beat a case in NYC for not giving ID to a pig and he arrested me. that shit was thrown out by the judge. now the city has to pay me for the pig violating my rights, cop should have left me alone.
-
@cholo2les they may be using the Patriot Act. Without any I.D., the NYPD has grounds to detain him. The citizen was wrong for saying, "No, I'm not going to show you my ID...." But the officer who stated, "Do you want to fight? Do you want to fight?", should have been reprimanded or terminated for his actions
savages.....fucking idiots cant even speak english project trash
