CBS News NYS labor story

The following CBS News national piece was shot in the mid to late summer of 1996 and initially aired Saturday night, September 21st. Interestingly, because it was a Saturday the college football game CBS aired that evening ran late so the piece was not seen most of the east coast (I had a friend in Los Angeles videotape it for me). CBS then ran it again the Monday morning of September 23rd during its morning show but many CBS affiliates, including the one in New York City, chose not to air it. Over the 2 months or so the producer worked on it I had a number of conversations with her and I felt the piece was quite fair and balanced.

My favorite part is the end of the previous story about millionaire John DuPont who murdered wrestler David Schultz. Anthony Mason says DuPont's "doctors say that he's so psychotic he can't be faking it." Great lin
