Leslie Caron (born 1 July 1931) is a French film actress and dancer, who appeared in 45 films between 1951 and 2003. Caron is best known for the musical films An American in Paris (1951), Lili (1953), Daddy Long Legs (1955), Gigi( 1958), and for the non-musical films Fanny (1961), The L-Shaped Room (1962), and Father Goose (1964). She received two Academy Award nominations for Best Actress. She speaks French and English. She is one of the few dancers or actresses who can say that they have danced with Gene Kelly, Fred Astaire, Mikhail Baryshnikov, and Rudolf Nureyev.
Gene Kelly (August 23, 1912 -- February 2, 1996) was an American dancer, actor, singer, film director and producer, and choreographer. A major exponent of 20th century filmed dance, Kelly was known for his energetic and athletic dancing style, his good looks and the likeable characters that he played on screen. Although he is known today for his performance in Singin' in the Rain, he was a dominant force in Hollywood musical films from the mid 1940s until this art form fell out of fashion in the late 1950s. His many innovations transformed the Hollywood musical film, and he is credited with almost single-handedly making the ballet form commercially acceptable to film audiences.

  • @Luciacl TCM is where it is in An American in Paris.

  • fantastic duo - I loved them both

  • Gorgeous! So much grace, style, romance and talent on the silver screen back then...

  • My husband and I were married in 1988, but "Our Love is Here to Stay" is OUR song. Thank goodness for American classic movies!!! I love them so much more than "modern" films.

  • I remember watching this as a little girl and being mesmerized. I've always loved the great musicals! :))

  • Thanks for uploading...just wish it included just before this when he sings to her. :-) Love this movie!

  • hahahahahahaha

  • This is the most comprehensive description of Gene Kelly's career (done in one paragraph) that I've seen in a long time. Usually the descriptions are glossed over but this was well done! Thanks for the upload!
