The Senators are up 1-0 in the series following a 5-2 win in game 1. The Sabres strike quickly for two goals in game 2, but the Senators storm right back. Daniel Alfredsson scores off the rush and Mike Fisher and Wade Redden scores power-play goals, giving the Senators a 3-2 lead. Daniel Briere scores with seconds remaining, sending the game to overtime, where Joe Corvo scores off the face-off, giving the Senators a 2-0 series lead for the first time in franchise history.
