  • Many thanks.

  • No shit. Never heard of Horowitz ripping on a novice for giving it a go. I'm sure Ashkenazy would rather sit at the piano and work on his own playing than be rude about someone else's.

Those guys love the music and I'm sure they would offer great advice to improve, but not in the idiotic fashion everybody on the internet is such a fan of.

    Damn.

  • I don't know why everyone is hating on this kid! You know he may not be the greatest piano player in the world. I agree. But at the same time, where is your video of you playing chopin waltz in a minor, on youtube? I have to give it to him though, he is out there trying to make something of himself. You haters have nothing better to do then sit at home and hate! Lighten up! Life is to short. One last thing, go ahead and hate on me, if you'd like! You see, hate doesn't affect me.

  • Thanks for sharing buddy. And never ever stop playing.. I did from the age 28 to 52 and now those lost years make me feel miserable. Not to mention I have to start all over again... Almost... Good interpretation. and ; it is your own.

  • sounds good to me. i love the sound of the piano sounds slightly out of tune..

  • i want my 7:16 of my life back having to listen to this valse being butchered

  • Dear Herbert Midgley: Mr. Chopin meant for the Waltz (valse) in A minor to be sad and melancholy. And a moody piece of music shouldn't be rushed nor played too precisely. In that way, it keeps its intended moodiness. Bravo! You got it exactly right. Stick with it Mr. Midgley.

  • i personally love this song played at a very slow, thoughtful tempo, especially at the beginning. also, it's chopin, throw in some rubato! but better than I could play it, it's a wonderful piece.

  • this boy has some ground-features that are really good and serve as a good and ~secure~ base.

Even time-structure is in some parts very solid.

So you are well-adviced and fully legitimated to just go on with your playing and show your results in Youtube.

I really like several qualities you show (and therefore have)

  • lets see how you played the song well

  • Poor chair...

  • You suck fatman!
