Nice sound. Thought the 10M production started around 1940 and the Chu Berry (early Lester Young) model was still in production in 1936, though. There was also a transition horn between the Chu Berry model and the 10M produced in 1939 - same action and bell valve arrangement as the Chu Berry but the big bell shape of the 10M. Rare and much sought after.

Thanks for your kind comments gcrav. Conn introduced the 10M model in 1934. You'll find a really good summary of the history of the 10M on the cybersax website.

well thank you very much for your kind comments kitkat. you know Stan Getz was the same age as you when he first started playing saxophone. Like you, he fell in love with the instrument and spent 8hrs a day practising (ouch). He got sore fingertips and so did his parents from climbing up the wall. Seriously - keep on going with that love in your life. The world's still waiting for a natural sucessor to Mr Getz and time is on your side. All the best.
best wishes to you too colten65
