His words are so touching and encouraging! If Lou Gehrig could refer to himself as the luckiest man in the world, then we should all be resilient in the face of any adversity. This is a man who has come, has seen, and has conquered. He will be missed forever!

Gehrig stood with his hands on his buttocks to keep the spasms to a minimum. His disease had progressed to the point of his muscles weakening, twitching involuntarily. I see the same pride when I see Michael J. Fox in interviews. Fighting their disease all the way. It's inspirational to watch this.

I get chills watching this

I have this pose as an action figure... I cannot stand the yankees, but I had to get it.... I love the pre-steinbrunner yankees

Always the Yankee Captain.
