On Saturday May 9th 2009, Detroit 8th Battalion companies responded to a reported commercial building fire at 13300 Joseph Campau & E Davison. While enroute E56 reported smoke showing and they would be stretching. Upon arrival E56 stretch on this vacant 250 X 150 2 story commercial building. Upon arrival of Chief 8 he reported a doubtful requested an extra Engine, Platform & Squad above the box alarm assignment. Upon building size up and building conditions Chief 8 requested a 2nd Alarm and an extra Engine and Truck above the 2nd alarm. Companies operated defensively at this scene. Companies operated for aprox. 6 hours with relief companies ordered. Engines 56/23/35/60/44/39/46/17/5 Ladders 30/6/16/18 Squad 3/5 Chief 8/5 Cars 203 & 201 responded to this alarm. Fire was in the basement of the building and burned through the building.

Good video. Adding the radio traffic instead of an unrelated music sound track made the video much more of interest to me as I am a former line officer.
