Refinished vent grill, Preserved cabinet, cleaned inside and out.
Replaced all main caps
Refurbished Speaker protection relay
Repaired broken PCB on Volume Potentiometer
Replaced all output transistors with NTE61 and NTE181 transistors
Replaced all .1UF poly capacitors
replaced speaker output terminals with Pioneer output terminals (originals had broken off.)



Parts are not available to replace Volume Potentiometer
There is a dead spot at top center only (left channel) in the potentiometer.

  • This is my receiver that I purchased in 1977 for the unheard of sum of $800! For a young sailor making less than half that amount every month, it was a significant investment. What Bill has done for this old receiver is remarkable! I actually flew out to Denver to pick it up and hand carry it home to Atlanta. It sounds great and I can finally listen to my old albums with all their white noise and pops and crackles again! Thank you very much for fixing my favorite piece of stereo equipment!
