Another gem. Major props to you for uploading this. You can tell the bass and "drums" were probably done first by their muffledness. As a one time practitioner of sound on sound recording, I tip my hat to the master and the first to ever do it. This was done with home recorded vinyl records, before tape existed I believe. L P is a still alive (90+) genius playing in New York every Monday.He has arthritis which he has worked around. You yanks nearby ought to go see, or search"chasing sound"

It's all Les Paul! He practically created the system of overdubbing and mutli-track recording (he built the first eight-track multi-track recording systemm).

Those sure took a while to "warm up" before you could play records. I am afraid to turn my old hi-fi on today as most of the tubes it uses are British and are so obsolete that replacements just do not exist anymore.
