I've found that ProRes422 is the same as HQ, just with HQ you're expanding the file size greatly with no improvement of quality!

this is so....shameful, man.
everybody's saying how great it is working on a mac, while you dont need all this extra encoding on mpeg streamclip when u work on a PC. u just import the footage. BAM! done deal.
I see there are Sucha hassles with working on a Mac..incompatibilities..problems & such..
So it makes me wonder Why why Why is everyone praising it? maybe its cause they wasted all this amount of money for a mac-so they gotta act like it was worth it?
please prove me wrong

I use Apple Pro Res422 HQ all the time and I see the LT listed in the menu list but never used it. What is the LT version for?

Why not just use the Apple MPEG4 compressor shown @01:34 second option under the Apple Motion JPEG A standard option. If you are exporting with the intent of uploading it to Youtube that saves you time and space.
Or better yet in the H.264 section the Apple DVCPRO HD 1080p30 is shown. Thats the full HD format that Youtube uses just in the Apple Quicktime MOV format. Its takes the H.264 codec in the MPEG4 format and vraps it in a MOV format container. Exporting to MPEG4 saves you time and space.
