R.I.P. Vertigo Skatepark & Skate Plaza

Over Memorial Day weekend we took a trip to skate Vertigo Skatepark one last time and also visited the infamous D.C. Shoes Skate Plaza in Kettering, OH. It was sad seeing the piles of wood that was once Vertigo as they were beginning to tear down everything. Most of us came away with some sweet souvenirs from the stencils that decorated the park for this years Bitter Cold Showdown; which made the whole trip worth it. Gary and Brian made the most out of the additional lumber laying around the park but you will have to wait to see those clips. At the Skate Plaza Don and Brian were able to quiet all the skateboarders pretty quickly and give them an answer to the question, "Why would you film rollerblading with a VX?" Haha. Probably because there are literally a hundred ledges that are more than ankle high that regular skateboarders don't touched. I am sure shit goes down when pro's come into town but normally it's pretty pathetic.

i skateboard and i dont hate on roller bladers i respect anybody bike blade or board. we all have our differences but i remember when i was 12 this was the first skatepark i went too and it was like heaven i wish it would open up again so bad
